Film Loans
Our collections contain many one-of-a-kind titles across genres. We offer rentals of film prints, DCPs, and digital files to cinema programmers, museum curators, and community organizations interested in including works from CFA's collections into their programs and exhibitions.

Available formats
Film prints, DCPs, and digital files are available for rental. We can provide digital files in the format of your choice. Film prints will only be rented to exhibitors who complete our approval process, which includes guaranteeing that only skilled film projectionists working with appropriate and well-maintained projection equipment will handle the films. Please inquire for details.
Pricing
Rental costs depend on the specifics of your program. Please contact us for pricing.
If the films requested need to be digitized or transferred to another format, CFA will charge the borrower our standard rates for that service.

Shipping & file transfers
All shipping charges, wire transfer fees and supply costs will be handled by the borrower.
Upon completion of your program, all media must be returned to CFA.

Licensing & rights
Unless otherwise determined, it should not be assumed that licensing rights are attached to the media that is lent out.
Written proof of copyright clearance for works to be screened must be obtained by the borrower. CFA will not perform rights research or copyright clearance on a borrower's behalf, nor will we loan films or files without proof of rights clearance.
