Lawrence E. Shulman
Lawrence Shulman was with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for forty years. He is currently Partner Emeritus of BCG, having previously been a Senior Partner and Director. During that time he was the worldwide head of BCG’s strategy practice, the managing partner of the Chicago office, the Central Region, and Latin America.
He is currently a Partner at Arcline Investment Management, a private equity firm with more than six billion dollars invested in mostly industrial products companies. Mr. Shulman is on the Board of Directors of a number of companies owned by Arcline Investment Management.
He is on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Film Archives and the American Writers Museum. Previously he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Kellogg Business School (Northwestern University), a Director of the Lincoln Park Zoo (Chicago), and a member of the President’s Council of the Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago).
Lawrence Shulman holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, where he was a Baker Scholar. He holds a BA in political science and literature from Brown University. He also completed graduate work in communications at the Annenberg School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has published essays on strategy in The Harvard Business Review, as well as other publications.
