Abstract

Telenews covers three features: “Atomic Age Gets Mechanical Hands,” “Swimming – New Aquatic Star – At Eleven Months,” and “Sports We Seldom See.”

Description

In the film’s opening feature, “Atomic Age Gets Mechanical Hands,” General Electric Company inventor John Payne demonstrates his recently devised mechanical hands that operate by hand and foot controls to perform delicate operations in the atomic laboratory. In the following feature, “Swimming – New Aquatic Star – At Eleven Months,” Los Angeles resident Sherry Lynn Whitford demonstrates the ability to dog paddle across a swimming pool at just 11-months old. The film concludes with “Sports We Seldom See,” wherein Rutgers and City College of New York open the lacrosse season at CCNY’s Lewison Stadium.
