Abstract
Black and white, silent outtakes of what seems to be a press event before the official opening of McCormick Place, a convention center in Chicago. McCormick Place opened on November 18, 1960, but the original building was destroyed by fire in 1967. The building was rebuilt and opened again in 1971.

Images of men outside building (possibly still McCormick Place) holding a sign that reads "$275,000,000 goal for 1961 from Conventions - Trade Shows - Chicago Convention Bureau." Two men meet and shake hands and enter the building. They sit together and eat a meal surrounded by press. Men decorating the interior of the building, possibly for the opening exhibition. Images from inside what looks like the control center of the building.
