Description
The first scene of this outtake features footage of Muhammad Ali at a ceremony for a new building called the Muhammad Ali Hair and Body Care, Inc. He is dressed in a black suit, surrounded by colleagues and small crowd of men and women, all accosted by members of the press. He and his business advisors hold up a sketch of the proposed building to the camera.
News reporters take notes as Ali fields their questions on everything from his new venture, to a possible career in politics. The location is undetermined, but it seems to be near the Southeast side of 87th Street and the Dan Ryan Expressway - as determined by Clyde Parrish Realty next door to the building site, and a Turn Style store located across the highway (at 125 W. 87th St). A CTA train stop under the bridge can also be seen between the two-lane highway.
ABC7's journalist asks Ali to elaborate on his plans for the site, and Muhammad Ali's business adviser describes that the building will include a barbershop and beauty college with dormitory facilities, and that they also plan to manufacture a line of products, mainly for haircare. Advertisement graphics for his knock-out haircare product line are shown to the camera. The final scene shows the interior of Muhammad Ali's tour bus, comfortably outfitted with couches, a telephone, and a television.
