Abstract
“The integrity of the home is one of the basic principles of American life. In this story Jim plans to leave home because of unpleasantness; before going, however, he decides to mend the sofa that his wife has requested him many times to do. One thing leads to another until the entire family is working in harmony to beautify the home and somehow Jim has lost his desire to leave.
Note: this film is also appropriate for use in 'clean up campaigns.'” [From the New York Public Library’s June 23, 1920 edition of the “Municipal Reference Library Notes.”]
