Abstract
This sailing instructional film teaches basic boat handling and sailing safety skills demonstrated by a couple learning to sail along with a series of lessons and help from their more experienced sailing friends. The participants are actors, and there is some Michelob product placement, but sailing terminology and ontology along with detailed, step-by-step demonstration are of paramount importance in this film. Actors giving instructions, a narrator describing their actions, and two full introductory training sessions show the “sights and sounds” of the sailing experience.
