This film documents a record-breaking pre-winter snowfall in Chicago on December 20, 1960. Footage includes shots of residents as they shovel their yards and sidewalks, children at play in the snow, Christmas yard decorations, a man as he sweeps snow off his Chrysler New Yorker near Queen of All Saints School, residential streets lined with snow-covered automobiles, downtown Chicago, and concludes with shots of Chicago’s official Christmas tree located in the Congress street plaza with the Congress Hotel in the background.
