Abstract
Footage of Maria Callas arriving in Chicago, most probably in 1957-1958 ahead of a concert at the Lyric Opera. Snippet shows her being interviewed by press at the airport, and being accosted by journalists as she gets into a car. Last few shots are of customs and and international public health offices; seems unrelated to main footage.
Description
First shot is of Maria Callas being followed by journalists, her back to the camera. There is sound in this section; the voices of various reporters asking her questions. Then, the footage backtracks (reel has minor edits and some shots are out of sequence), showing an Air France plane landing at airport, government and airport officials huddled in a group speaking to one another, Callas emerges from plane holding her pet poodle accosted by various handlers and assistants.

Next shot is of Callas in what seems to be an airport lounge being asked questions in a brief press conference. She leaves, goes into a car waiting for her outside, there's a quick exterior shot of South Terminal Chicago Airport.

Brief shot of United States customs, one difficult to identify shot of downtown and/or Lake Michigan, another of the United States government Agencies and Public Health services.
