Jimmy Hoffa responds to the press on December 9, 1960.
Description
This film shows Jimmy Hoffa’s appearance outside the United States Commissioners' hearing room in Chicago after posting bond in conjunction with indictment charging mail fraud involving misuse of union funds. Hoffa answers questions posed by the press, and when asked for comment concerning Robert Kennedy’s impending appointment as United States attorney general, Hoffa notably clenches his jaw and responds with stiff disdain: "The country has many competent qualified lawyers who have tried lawsuits."
