Subsequent footage includes shots of Kefauver engaging with Mayor Richard J. Daley and former President Harry Truman. There is a scene in which an affable Truman examines a 1956 campaign button pinned to a photographer’s jacket which exclaims, “I Go Pogo,” a reference to the satirical cartoon developed by Walt Kelly, and a contrast to the opposing political party's "I Like Ike."
