Abstract
Chicagoans vote in a primary election on April 10, 1956.
Description
Silent outtakes from polling places around Chicago on Primary Day in spring 1956. Voters can be seen coming in and out of polling booths, and poll workers are shown registering and signing-in voters. Men and women enter and exit a polling place in Halfday. Men distribute campaign materials in front of a Chicago supermarket. A brief shot of the Chicago skyline filmed from a moving vehicle.

Illinoisians overwhelmingly chose Adlai Stevenson II (D) and Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) as their nominees.
