Description
Kennedy and Nixon descend the stairs from their United flight side-by-side. Jacqueline Kennedy appears briefly. Nixon answers a question from a journalist about Kennedy's chances at the Democratic nomination while Kennedy stands beside him, holding a copy of the book Advise and Consent. In a tighter shot, Nixon talks about Lewis Strauss being rejected as Secretary of Commerce earlier that day, expressing disappointment and placing blame on partisan politics and Senate Majority Leader Lyndon B. Johnson.
