This film begins with footage of vice-presidential candidate Henry Cabot Lodge and his wife Emily Sears Lodge as they ride as passengers in a 1960 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible. The film concludes with excerpts from a press conference held in Milwaukee in which Lodge comments upon a president’s hypothetical decision to pursue military action to defend the Quemoy and Matsu Islands from attacks by the People's Republic of China.
