Abstract
An instructional training film that demonstrates anesthetic techniques for oral surgery that employ light Fluothane, a liquid that is vaporized for use as an inhalation anesthetic. The film shows doctors employing such techniques on a young male patient. These techniques include bilateral nasopharyngeal intubation and arterial puncture for O2 saturation during Fluothane-air. The doctors monitor the patient's vital signs and respiration until the patient safely emerges from surgery. The film goes onto proclaim that assisted Fluothane anesthesia using compact simple equipment and bi-lateral nasal tubes offers better, safer and more physiological anesthesia for oral surgery compared to intravenous anesthesia.
