Description

This film displays pro-communist demonstrators outside of the Milan Cathedral, or Duomo di Milano, as they gather to support communist candidate Palmiro Togliatti against Christian Democrat candidate Alcide De Gasperi.

Gasperi, backed by the Catholic Church, won the election.
