Abstract
An advertisement from Mayor Edward J. Kelly's re-election campaign in 1939 for his second full term in office. Kelly was mayor during the 1933-34 Century of Progress World's Fair, which the advertisement references by claiming Kelly "has made of Chicago a World's Fair city every year." Also referenced is Kelly's history with Chicago Public Schools, which included opposition to segregation and allocation of New Deal funds to school projects. At the same time, Kelly and his appointed school board drew criticism for corruption and significant cuts to funding.
