Abstract
A home movie reel consisting of four parts spliced together, one in color and the following in black and white. In the first, color segment, a Rockford, IL family enjoys dancing and a "waffle supper" on March 14, 1943. Following supper, while lounging in the living room, a man makes a woman laugh by exclaiming "Coffee! Coffee! Coffee!" In the second, black and white segment, a family exits their house and enters a car on April 11, 1943. A baby identified as Ronnie is posed for the camera wearing his "first beret," and an elderly woman feeds chickens on a farm and poses with a baby duck on May 2, 1943. The third segment begins with a Labor Day visit to the fair in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, with trick horse riding, harness racing, and rides on display. Back at home, an elderly couple (including the same woman as before) picks apples. In the fourth and final segment, a game of the Rockford Peaches women's baseball team is depicted at Beyer Stadium in Rockford. The reel closes with a trip to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin.
