Abstract
This footage by Mort and Millie Goldsholl documents their trip to Japan ca. 1964. It first shows a ceremony taking place at night on boats, possibly during Tōrō nagashi, a traditional Japanese candle or lantern boat ceremony. Then, we can see Mort Goldsholl and his son taking pictures of a monument, which indicates that Millie was probably the one filming during most their trip. The footage ends with images of a sand shrine, where Mort can be seen again with his camera. Many other titles from the Goldsholl Collection were taken during that same trip to Japan, including Hiroshima and Japan: Train Ride to Hiroshima and Osaka.
