Description
The film begins with tracking footage taken from a motorboat of flooded neighborhoods in Carmi, and shows officials as they monitor flooding from a bridge. The film concludes with extensive aerial footage of the regions surrounding Carmi and Mount Carmel, Illinois.
The Wabash River at Mount Carmel reached a crest of 26.3 feet which was eight feet above flood stage, and the Little Wabash River at Carmi crested at 38.55 feet. Approximately 40 percent of Carmi's surrounding White County was underwater.
