The Marion Kudlick collection contains home movies and amateur travelogue films shot by amateur filmmaker Marion Kudlick, Sr. Highlights include films shot in Chicago, Poland, western Europe and Mexico during the 1960s, family vacations in Florida, and Boy Scout activities.

Marion Kudlick, Sr. was a prominent Polish-American attorney in the city of Chicago. He graduated from the John Marshall Law School and had a private practice in the city. He grew up in the Irving Park / Portage Park neighborhood on Chicago’s northwest side and once ran for the office of City Clerk. Marion Kudlick, Sr. is remembered as a meticulous individual, adventurous world traveler and dedicated amateur filmmaker. He owned state-of-the-art film and photography equipment. He had a son, Marion Kudlick, Jr., known as Bud. Bud Kudlick worked at the Lakeview Bank until he retired and was the step-father of Greg Boblak.
