Howard, Homer Henselt (was created by)
Homer Henselt Howard was born December 8, 1907 in Illinois. His father and mother were young, 18 and 22 respectively, and had met at a summer resort where he was a piano player and she a waitress. Homer moved to Colorado with his parents but their marriage did not last, she took Homer and a younger brother and moved to Chicago and remarried. His father, who they lost contact with, went on to become a true spy in WWI (documented) who went behind German enemy lines multiple times in the forests of France, and was shot and gassed but survived.

Homer grew up at 5955 W. Erie in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago and graduated from Austin High School in 1924. He completed 3 years college work at Valparaiso University, then returned to Chicago where he met and married Olga Wilhelmina Larsen in 1936. They had three boys and one girl. He passed on April 7th, 1968 at 60 years of age.

Olga Wilhelmina (Wilma) Larsen was born Jan 11th, 1914 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Her father was born in Denmark and her mother had southern heritage, plantations and slaves (prior to civil war) included. Wilma also had a four years younger brother named Harold who went on to become a military man, married but had no children.

Wilma lived in Paris, Texas, then Dallas, then the family moved to Buffalo in 1923 by car (an adventure captured in a series of diary entries by her mother.) The marriage did not work out in Buffalo, and Wilma and her mother moved to Los Angeles sometime prior to 1927. Wilma graduated from Huntington Park High School in Los Angeles in 1932. She met Homer Howard and married in Chicago in 1936.

She remained in Glenview, Illinois after her husbands passing in 1968, and was active with Northfield Community Church and her family, until her passing on March 24th, 2005 at the age of 91.
