This 16mm home movie collection documents the Cring family of St. Louis, Missouri. Highlights of the collection include its railroad footage, Brentwood High School football games, an entertaining teenage dance party and a rare glimpse of Charles Lindbergh at a Mexican bull fight. Marquis Ritchey Cring was born in Belle Center, Ohio. He married Irene Ellerbeck and moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he got a job with the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad. He was head of advertising and public relations at the MKT. Susan Cring was his only child. They lived at 20 Stratford Lane in Brentwood, Missouri. Marquis Ritchey Cring was a hobbyist filmmaker and often took his camera with him when traveling with the railroad.
