James Bond SOUND Class He TALKS orig
Date Of Production
October 31 1991
Abstract
Footage from a Sound for Film class taught by Chicago based cinema engineer James Bond at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Fall of 1991. Filmmaker Tom Palazzolo acted as Bond's "sidekick" for the class.
Description
Starts with footage of James Bond talking and placing a piece of chewed gum on the bottom of a pair of sneakers. This is followed by staged scenes involving what are presumably students. One inside, the other outside, both involving gum.
Onscreen claps and grease pencil marks, along with the subject of the class, suggest that sound was recorded and later synced to this footage, likely as an in-class exercise. As of the time of writing the sound elements have not been located.
