Abstract
In 1936, Mervin W. LaRue Sr. established his own company, Mervin W. LaRue, Inc., which sold industrial movies and specialized in the production of medical motion pictures, scientific films and illustrations. This demo reel was found in Mervin Sr.’s personal collection and includes a variety of different kinds of industrial footage, including images of a gold refinery/foundry, a pasta factory where Red Cross Spaghetti is being produced and packaged, a mural, the pollen from a flower, trees being sprayed (with pesticide?) from a tractor, and concluding with images of a sunset.
