Abstract
In JP Somersaulter's Premiere Cartoon Cartoon, filmmaker JP Somersaulter narrates and illustrates his own creative process. In the film, a cartoonified JP engages the viewer in conversation and describes a series of idiosyncratic illustrations as they appear onscreen ("Frightened peacock-chicken with more than a baker's dozen pursued by abstract design"). Both playful and personal, the film follows the thread of an artistic mind.
