Abstract
"Valse Cécile" is a dance choreographed by Walter Camryn. While its premiere date is unknown, it was performed by Camryn and Ruth Page at the Chciago Civic Opera House in 1944.
This film represents an excerpt of a dress rehearsal or performance of the work. Its canister notes suggest in Ruth Page dances it here with Bentley Stone rather than Walter Camryn.

Description
The film opens with a shot of a stage on which a woman (Ruth Page, dressed much like a flapper) and a man (presumably Bentley Stone, in a suit) dance together. This dance includes elements of waltzing as well as jazzier dances such as the Lindy Hop and the Charleston. Their dancing continues for several minutes, and the film ends as it began--in the middle of their dance.
